Duane spent nearly a decade as a Case Worker at 180TC, providing intensive support and counselling for individuals navigating complex substance use and mental health issues. His work extended far beyond the clinical—he built trusted relationships, walked with clients through legal and health systems, and advocated for their holistic wellbeing. With a focus on trauma-informed care, he approached each case with empathy and a deep commitment to positive change.
Prior to his role in casework, Duane’s experience spanned education, construction, and college administration. Whether teaching in UK high schools or managing college operations in NSW, he consistently brought strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for supporting others to grow.
Now, as a trainer delivering Certificate IV and Diploma level courses in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Duane shares his wealth of lived and professional knowledge with students looking to make their own impact in community services.
